MJ Arsenal Alpine Granby 10cm Glass Hand Pipe

The MJ Arsenal Alpine Granby Hand Pipe takes the familiar spoon-pipe shape and gives it a completely different finish, combining clear borosilicate glass with milled black walnut accents.

At approximately 9.9cm long, it is compact enough to sit comfortably in the hand without dropping down to the tiny proportions of a chillum or one hitter. The fuller spoon-shaped bowl also gives the Granby a more traditional hand-pipe feel.

Classic Spoon Pipe Shape

The Granby is a proper spoon-style glass hand pipe. Its rounded bowl section sits in the palm while the narrower stem leads towards the mouthpiece.

This makes it different from the slimmer Creek and Ridge designs in the Alpine collection. If you prefer the traditional feel of a spoon pipe but want something a little more refined than a standard all-glass model, Granby makes plenty of sense.

Borosilicate Glass & Milled Black Walnut

The main pipe body is made from 100% borosilicate glass, with milled black walnut used for the Alpine detailing.

The clear glass lets you see through the pipe body, while the walnut gives the Granby a warmer, more natural appearance than a conventional clear spoon pipe.

Borosilicate glass handles normal heat and temperature changes better than ordinary glass, but it is still breakable. The Granby should be protected from drops, hard impacts and sudden extreme temperature changes.

Compact 10cm Size

MJ Arsenal lists the Granby at approximately 3.9 x 1.7 inches, equivalent to around 9.9 x 4.3cm.

That makes it easy to store in a drawer, pipe pouch or accessory case while still giving you the fuller hand feel of a traditional spoon pipe.

20mm Bowl & Left-Side Carb

Current specifications list the Granby with an approximately 20mm bowl, giving it noticeably more bowl space than the smaller Ridge Chillum.

A carb positioned on the left-hand side allows you to control airflow with your fingertip. Cover the carb while drawing through the pipe, then release it when you want additional airflow through the chamber.

The bowl is built into the pipe, so there are no separate flower bowls or downstems to assemble.

Designed with Cleaning in Mind

One useful part of the Alpine construction is that the glass and walnut sections can be treated differently during cleaning.

MJ Arsenal recommends cleaning the borosilicate glass with isopropyl alcohol, while the other sections can be cleaned using a microfiber cloth with warm, soapy water.

This means you can give the glass a proper clean without unnecessarily soaking the walnut in alcohol.

How to Use

• Make sure the bowl and airway are clean and dry before use.
• Add a suitable amount of legal dry herb to the bowl without packing it excessively tightly.
• Cover the left-side carb with your fingertip.
• Apply a suitable flame while drawing gently through the mouthpiece.
• Release the carb to increase airflow and clear the remaining smoke.
• Allow the bowl and surrounding glass to cool before cleaning.

Cleaning & Care

• Allow the hand pipe to cool completely before cleaning.
• Clean the borosilicate glass with isopropyl alcohol when deeper cleaning is required.
• Clean the other sections using a microfiber cloth with warm, soapy water.
• Avoid soaking the milled black walnut in alcohol.
