Where naturally present in the cultivar being modelled, these compounds can contribute to those distinctive gassy, skunky and properly dank aromas that conventional botanical terpene formulations can struggle to reproduce.

Terpene Mixing & Dosing Guide

Terpenes are seriously concentrated, so this definitely isn't a "give it another splash for luck" situation. Start small, measure carefully and mix thoroughly. The following starting points are based on the Abstrax terpene mixing guide.

Vape Cartridges

• Abstrax recommended starting point: 5% terpenes
• Start with a 1 g test volume and work up from there
• Example: 9 g distillate + 0.5 g terpenes + 0.5 g TEC Temper (Liquidizer)
• Total finished mixture: 10 g

Concentrates

• Abstrax states a starting point of 0.5 g by weight
• The manufacturer's current example states: 2 g of product, add 1 g
• This ratio is reproduced from Abstrax's current mixing guidance – always check the latest manufacturer instructions before use

Tinctures

• Recommended starting point: 0.1%
• Example: For a 30 ml tincture, add 0.03 ml of terpene blend
• Mix thoroughly and adjust gradually as required

Edibles

• Recommended starting point: approximately 0.25% by weight, depending on the edible
• Example: For a 14 g hard candy batch, add 0.035 g of terpene blend
• Start low and adjust gradually according to the finished product

Beverages

• Recommended starting point: 0.04% by weight
• Abstrax gives an example of 1–2 drops per bottle using a suitable water-soluble terpene blend
